Ritta Martin

Position: Finance Officer
Ritta Martin and Family

Ritta Martin grew up on her family’s ranch in western Glenn County; sixth generation! Active in 4-H and FFA, her passion for agriculture started early and led her to pursue a college education from California State University, Chico. In 2008, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business & Minors in Accounting and Business Administration.

After a few years working in the Central Valley and utilizing her finance experience, Ritta decided to relocate back to her family’s ranch in 2011. She worked for a strawberry nursery in Tehama County prior to joining the RCD as Program Coordinator.

Ritta is currently a Director of the Glenn County Farm Bureau, an active member of the Young Farmers & Ranchers Committee, and Leadership Farm Bureau. She is dedicated to the future of agriculture in the community and works to ensure that it will be sustainable for future generations.

Outside of the office, Ritta has a mobile Notary business, a herd of Boer goats and over a dozen beef cow/calf pairs. There’s never a dull moment (needless to say)!

When not working at the RCD or on one of her many endeavors, Ritta enjoys riding her horses and her road bike, as well as shooting skeet, running, kayaking and reading.

Ritta resides between Elk Creek and Chrome with her husband Mat, and two children, Reese and Paisley.
