Shane has always had a passion for helping others and being active in the community. He started his fire career by volunteering for the Artois Volunteer Fire Department before being employed by the U.S. Forest Service on the Mendocino National Forest, Grindstone District. He filled various roles on the Engine and Hand Crew staffing assignments while working for them. After many seasons, Shane became a full-time Firefighter/EMT for the Maxwell Fire Protection District. Currently, Shane continues to be a part-time Engineer for the City of Willows Fire Department while also being part of the Glenn County RCD Team.

Growing up in Artois and currently residing in Willows, Shane has always called Glenn County home. When he isn’t working, Shane can usually be found in the mountains, at the duck blind, or on the golf course. He loves spending time with family, friends, and his wife, Nayeli.
